Welcome to the mountain holler, tucked away in the quiet expanse of Harwood Valley north of Weaverville, this 7-acre parcel offers a rare retreat into the rugged landscape of North Buncombe County. The terrain is characterized by a steep, dramatic elevation, providing a true sense of isolation with no audible road noise and no improved neighboring properties in sight. Multiple streams and creeks traverse the acreage, Large-scale boulders are integrated into the topography. Access is provided via a common easement that leads deep into the property to a long-abandoned off-grid cabin. Though the structure itself holds no value and has sat unoccupied for decades, its placement is remarkable, situated directly beneath an immense boulder. This specific site overlooks the North Fork Valley, offering expansive mountain views that shift with the seasons. This is an ideal canvas for those seeking a challenging build site or a private conservation-style escape. Potential buyers should be prepared for a steep hike to fully appreciate the unique geological features and the total privacy this hollow provides, the common easement is impassible by most vehicles. The Harwood Valley is something special, so book your showing and schedule your hike today!

Directions: From Paint Fork Missionary Baptist Church: 527 Paint Fork Rd, Barnardsville, NC 28709, turn right onto Harwood Road. Continue to what seems to be the end of the road, where it turns gravel. Pass a small cottage on your right, crossing a creek. Continue up hil past an RV on your left. A insane looking half singlewide trailer (exploded??) will be on your right in a hair pin turn. Pass this. Continue through a yellow gate. Next, you will see hair pin turn of a road to your left. Park your car here (where my van is parked in the photos). DO NOT DRIVE UP THIS ROAD > you will regret this! Its scary! Really! Go up this hill and keep straight. Keep going until you reach a handmade log bridge. Scary camper on your right. You will see a road at 2 o'clock. Go up this road, not the one to your left (very rocky.) Continue up hill. Yes, keep going! I'm sorry. It's about .25 a mile. You will see the cabin to your left. Regrid works well - I have not personally tried LandGlide. Owner Name: Miller.
